Ole was born August 19, 1923 in Green Valley, to the late Ludwig and Marie (Johnson) Olson. He married Betty Hodgden on November 11, 1944, at First English Lutheran Church in Appleton. Ole was a Master Plumber and in 1964 he founded Olson Plumbing and Heating, Inc. in Neenah. He worked there until 1981 when he and his wife retired to Lakewood where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Ole was a veteran of World War 11 serving in the 45th Infantry Division in the European Theatre. He was a charter member of St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church in Neenah and a member of the church's first church council. Ole is survived by his wife, Betty; two children, Sandy (Dennis) Pederson, Neenah; Bill (Judy) Olson, Neenah; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mabel Olson, Norwalk; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 1999, at St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church with the Rev. Joel Schlachtenhaufen officiating. Entombment was in Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum. Friends called on Tuesday directly at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
A memorial is being established in his name.
