She was born February 9, 1918 in Beverly, KY to the late John Beverly Knuckles and Elizabeth Asher. On September 4, 1948 she married Roslyn R. Vendt, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1999.
She was a member of the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 74, and Friends of the Library.
She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Anne Vendt, Dayton, OH; Carol Elizabeth Vendt, Oconto; a son, David Ross Vendt and his wife, Mary Hart, and their daughters, Sarah Elizabeth and Mary Asher, Lebanon, OH; a sister-in-law, Marceil Schumacher, Oconto, and her son, Damian E. Schumacher, New Orleans LA; a cousin, Mary Simpson, Pineville, KY.
Friends called at the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Service of Christian Burial was 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2000, at the church with Rev. Richard DeBenedetto officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto.
