Mr. Lester J. DeKeuster, 77, 407 Arbutus Ave., Oconto, died Monday morning, July 26, 1999 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center, Oconto. Lester was born September 25, 1921 in the Town of Pensaukee, the only son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Stellmacher) DeKeuster. On November 4, 1946, Lester was united in marriage to the former Florence Koss. The couple farmed in the Town of Pensaukee most of their married life. Lester was also employed by the Town of Pensaukee for many years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto and was a former Volunteer fireman for the Town of Pensaukee.
Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Florence, a brother-in-law, Art Detaege, Oconto, as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcella Detaege, Irene Notz, and Mary Trepanier.
A private Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Peter Site. The Rev. David Ruby officiating. Interment at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
