Lucille P. Buchholz, 84, Gillett, died Monday morning, December 11, 2000, at the Woodland Village Nursing Home, Suring.

She was born August 12, 1916, in the Town of Underhill, to the late William and Anna (Weber) Jeske. On December 2, 1936, Lucille married Oscar A. Buchholz at St. John Lutheran Church, Hayes. He preceded her in death November 26, 1994. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett, the Ladies Aide, and the LWML. She was a 4-H leader in Oconto County for many years. Lucille enjoyed gardening, quilting, embroidering, and sewing carpet strips for rag rugs. She volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Store, Green Bay.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, William and Gloria, Gillett; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Eleanor Sturms, Appleton; Marcella "Sally" and Jerry Jacobson, Green Bay; Susan and Bruce Schuettpelz, Gillett; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Martin Smits, Gillett; Edward Edler, Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Delores Larsen, Gillett; Helen Buchholz, Mesa, AZ; nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Carol Petrina.

Lucille was also preceded in death by one son, James; one daughter, Julie Buchholz; two sisters and one brother.

Friends called Thursday at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett. Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Friday, December 15, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Gillett, with Deacon Ralph Beversdorf officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date.
