Lyman H. Sell, Green Valley, age 81, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016
at the Atrium at Oconto Falls, formerly Sharpe Care.
Lyman was born in Oconto Falls, on November 27, 1934, a son of the late
Albert and Ethel W. (Nelson) Sell. He attended local schools, and was a
lifelong resident of the area. Lyman worked as a machine operator retiring
several years ago. A devoted son, Lyman visited his mother daily for 21
years while she was in a nursing home. He would also have lunch daily in
Gillett visiting with locals and sharing jokes. He enjoyed hunting and
fishing, and lived many years of his life on the family homestead. In
earlier years, they kept some animals and livestock. Lyman was particularly
fond of John Deere tractors. He will be sadly missed.
Lyman leaves his sisters Edna Mae Dobner of St. Louis and Judy Belke of New
Holstein. He also leaves his in-laws: Robert McCabe of Colorado and Judy
Sell of Algoma. Lyman is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers
Clinton Sell and Al "JR" Sell, his sister Donna McCabe and brothers-in-law
Leo Dobner and Richard Belke.
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Monday, March 21, 2016 from
9 to 10:45 AM at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH (N6955 County Road BB, Oconto Falls,
WI 54154). A funeral service will follow at 11 AM with the Reverend Bill
Gruenstern officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
