Lynn R. Hessil Garfield 

Lynn (Mrs. Craig) R. Garfield, 47, Hwy 22 E., Oconto Falls, died peacefully in her sleep, following a long term heart condition, on Friday morning, December 29, 2000, at home.

She was born September 24, 1953, in Oconto Falls to Fay 'Kernel' and Joyce (Mahrol) Hessil. She grew up in Oconto Falls and Lena, graduating from Lena High School with the Class of 1971. On June 2, 1973, she married Craig Garfield at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls. The couple has lived in Oconto Falls for all their married life where they have owned and operated The Windmill since 1989. Lynn was currently employed as a cashier by the Oneida Tribe. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls. Lynn will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who was kind, generous and special friend to many people.

Survivors are her husband, Craig Garfield; their three daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and Glen Belongia Jr., Oconto; Kathryn Garfield and fiance, David Vorpahl, Oconto Falls; Michelle Garfield and special friend, Ernie Holub, at home; three very special grandsons, Nathan and Justin Belongia, Brady Garfield; one brother, Randy (Michelle) Hessil, Lena; three sisters, Barb (Ed) Kolosowski, Amberg; Trudy (Gary) Shallow, Lena; Leah Hessil and special friend, Jerry, Flagstaff, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; her mother, Joyce Hessil in January, 2000; and one brother, Michael Hessil.

Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls after 4 p.m. Saturday, December 30, until time of services. Funeral was 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Sutlief officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
