Lila was born November 25, 1923 in Oconto County to the late George and Luella (LaShay) Hodgins. She married George LaVern Diedrich May 10, 1941. He preceded her in death July 24, 1984. Lila worked for a number of years at both Bond Pickle Co., Oconto and Country Gardens, Gillett.
Lila loved her family and will be greatly missed by her daughters Rosella (Darryl) Greetan, Gloria (Lloyd) Nellis, Sharon Ankerson, and Linda (Lilburn) DeHut all of Oconto Falls; sons Elmer, Oconto Falls; Gordon (Judith), Neenah; Elroy (Jane), Oconto Falls; George, Oconto; a niece, Elva (John) Philippi, Suring; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Esther Wilke; a granddaughter, Kimberly Diedrich; an adopted granddaughter, Diane Diedrich, and a nephew, Orville Wilke.
Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from noon until 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 26. Funeral service was 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Blocker officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
