LaVerne A. "Luvie" Gehrke HERRMANN

LaVerne A. 'Luvie' Herrmann, 78, of Long Court, Appleton and formerly of Rost Lake, died Wednesday, January 26, 2000 in Appleton after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

LaVerne was born July 21,1921 at Clintonville to Frank and Amanda (Handrich) Gehrke. She was a graduate of Clintonville High School and was married to Rufus "Bud' Herrmann on March 1, 1946 in Clintonville. The couple resided in Green Bay until moving to the Coleman area in 1966. She was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Coleman. LaVerne was the world's best mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and mother-in-law. Surviving are six children, Candice (Brad) Anderson of Appleton, Pamela Herrmann of Appleton, Cherie (Jim) Tebo of Jackson, MO; David (Cynthia) Herrmann of Stiles, Mark (Linda) Herrmann of Kewaskum, and Kim (Thomas) Barlament of Green Bay; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister-in-law, Lucille Kaplanek of Green Bay.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus "Bud" on April 21, 1998; two brothers and one sister. Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Gregory Stahlecker officiating. Burial in Tigerton Union Cemetery, Tigerton.
