Lawrence Christensen Obituary

Christensen, Lawrence Sr.

Lawrence Christensen Sr. 84, Abrams, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, February 9, 2013 at home. He was born July 31, 1928 in Brown County to Tom and Katherine (Taylor) Christensen. As a young man, he served in the US Navy during WW II. Lawrence lived most of his life in Brown and Oconto Counties where he enjoyed spending time on the Bay of Green Bay, crabbing and froging. Because of his mechanical abilities, he also loved working on boats of all kinds and sizes. Lawrence was a member of the Oconto County DAV Chapter #45 and the Pulaski American Legion Post #337.

Survivors are his significant other, Mert Konitzer, Abrams; his five children, Skip Brunette, Todd Christensen, Mark (Judy) Christensen, all of Oconto Falls; Larry (Bridget) Christensen, Crivitz; Tammy (Troy) Christensen, Pound; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine (Wayne) Kadlec, Green Bay.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons and two daughters.

Private family services will be held. Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls is serving the Christensen family.
