Louis 'Louie' "Bogey' Bogart, 66, of Lakewood, WI, passed away March 12, 2001 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay.

Louie was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 27, 1934 the son of the late Louis and Alice (Ehmke) Bogart. Louie lived most of his life in Milwaukee where he worked as a painter for several painting contractors and was a member of the Painter's Union local 781. On June 15, 1965 Louie married Althea LeCaptain. In 1991 he built his home in Lakewood where he retired. While living in the Lakewood area He was a member of the McCaslin Lions Club. He enjoyed outdoors sports including hunting and fishing. Louie was an avid storyteller, engaging his listeners for hours. He really enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Althea; daughters: Rose Kaufmann, Los Angeles, CA, Jackie Bogart, Milwaukee, Tina (Edward) Sexton, New Berlin, Vicki Bogart and Renee Bogart both of Milwaukee; sons: David Counard, Cudahy, Dennis (Linda) Counard, Oak Creek, Scott Counard, Vancouver, WA, Colin (Tammy) Counard, Palm Bay, FL, Ricky (Diane) Bogart, Milwaukee; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Further survived by brothers, sisters and other relatives and Hends.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 16 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Mary of The Lakes Catholic Church, Lakewood. Mass of Christian Burial followed with Father Douglas LeCaptain officiating. Pallbearers were Chad Tom, Jason Lynch, Tony Yiselicka, Donny LeCaptain, Randy Counard and Russ Lounard. Suminski Funeral Home Wabeno assisted the family with arrangements.
