Former Teacher and Librarian Dies Sunday  
 

Oconto Falls-Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic church Tuesday for Mrs. Lulu L. Morrissey, 85, the Rev. Jos. Tomczyk officiating at the requiem mass at nine 'clock. Interment took place in the Catholic Cemetery with Messrs. Hugh Lutsey, Ralph O'Neill, Edward Graf, E. E. Magnin, Leonard Hartwig and Ted O'Neill carrying the casket. The parish rosary was recited at the Soulek Funeral Home Monday evening.

Mrs. Morrissey passed away at the local hospital on Saturday afternoon, July 25th after a two week illness.

She was born Lulu Bartlett, February 13, 1874 at Oconto and lived in the county nearly all of her life. She attended a school in Bradford, Pennsylvania, and then taught school in Oconto county. She was married to James Morrissey who died in 1935. Later she held the position of City Librarian for some time.

During her life here, she was a faithful member of St. Anthony's church, its Christian Mothers Society, belonged to the woman's Benefit Association and........ (the rest was missing)
