LaVerne M. Boettcher, 82, of 2467 Elm Street, Marinette, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 26, 2002, at Whispering Oaks Care Center in Peshtigo. She was born March 23, 1920, in Oconto, to the late Oliver and Jessie (Rhode) Belland, residing in this area most of her life.

On November 21, 1945, she was married to Vernon Boettcher; he preceded her in death on June 14, 1995. She had been employed as a nursing assistant at Luther Home for several years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

LaVerne is survived by three sons: Douglas and Gerald Boettcher of Marinette, and Keith Boettcher of Green Bay; five grandchildren; one brother and one sister.

Friends may call at HANSEN-ONION-MARTELL FUNERAL HOME, Marinette, on Friday, March 29, 2002, after 11 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday afternoon in the funeral home. The Rev. Grover Wooten will officiate.

Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
