Lloyd A. Wilson, 73, 6307 cty. Tk. B, Oconto Falls, died suddenly Saturday afternoon, January 2, 1999, at Woodland Village in Suring.

He was born April 1, 1925, in Angelica to Harold and Irene (VanEss) Wilson. As a young boy he grew up at Long Lake before his family moved back to this area. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Army during World War 11 as a sharp shooter with the military police. On July 26, 1952, he married Hollie Lambrecht in Gillett. Following their marriage, the couple began farming in rural Oconto Falls and continued to do so until just a few years ago. Lloyd was also employed at Coppens Imple- ment in Oconto Falls for 15 years, the United True Value hardware store and for the past 21 years, at the Oconto Electric Co-op where he retired from in 1990. He was an active member of the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church where he served on the board of trustees, ushered and helped in the building of the church in the 70's. Lloyd al- so enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood-working and working in the woods with his neighbors.

Survivors are his wife, Hollie; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary and Jeff Butterbrodt, Oconto Falls; Bobbi Mashl and friend, Manuel Guerrero, both of Green Bay; two grandchildren, Gregory Mashl and Monica Guerrero; one brother, John (Ellen) Wilson, Gillett; two sisters, lone Peters and Betty (Hugo) Delzer, all of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Nancy Jean in 1956; one brother; an infant sister; one niece and two nephews. Friends may call at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Jodi Arpke-Lone officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls. Milaitary honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the American Legion.
