Larry A. Malfroid, 58, Kelly Lake, died suddenly Thursday evening, Sept. 23, 1999 at Community Memorial Hospital. He was born July 7, 1941 in Forestville to Louis and Mamie Malfroid. He was raised in Door County and graduated Algoma High School. Following graduation, he attended technical college in Milwaukee for a short time and moved back to Door County where he worked on the family farm. Larry lived in Green Bay and worked at Cruisers in Oconto. Larry enjoyed his home at Kelly Lake, helping his neighbors, following racing, doing woodworking and mechanical things. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Malfroid of Milwaukee; two grandchildren, Alec and Miranda Malfroid; two brothers, Louie (Shirley) Malfroid of Milwaukee, and Leon (Sharon) Malfroid of Green Bay, many nieces and nephews, and his cat, Soda. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margaret Hundseder. Visitation was held at Jones Funeral Home in Oconto Falls after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service was held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Decon Chuck Daily officiating.
