GREEN BAY - Karl Sandberg, 61, formerly Mountain died Feb. 9, 2001 in Green Bay. He was born Oct. 9, 1939 in Mountain to the late Nels and Bea (Bauerfeind) Sandberg. Karl served in the Marine Corp. in Vietnam, after being shot-down he received a Medical discharge and was awarded The Purple Heart. He had a small but close group of friends in Green Bay where he was a avid Packer Fan. For many years Karl was employed in Green Bay as a U.S. Postal Worker, he retired in 1992.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Dick Leonard, Mukwonago; a niece, Susan (Kevin) Haag, Mukwonago; two nephews, Scott Leonard, Washington D.C.; Jon Leonard, Mukwonago; two great-nephews, Jake and Sam Haag, Mukwonago; other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at Mountain Cemetery in Spring of 2001. Date to be announced later. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring assisted the family with arrangements.
