Leona F. Kovnesky


Leona F. Kovnesky, 92, Coleman, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Woodland Village, Suring. She was born to the late Elizabeth Barbian February 1, 1920 at Hales Corners, WI. She married Edward Kovnesky March 31, 1940 at Milwaukee. The couple lived in Milwaukee until retiring to Rost Lake in the Town of Brazeau in 1975. Edward preceded her in death in 2002. Leona was a member of the former St. Francis and Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Klondike. Surviving are one son, Richard Kovneski, Oconto Falls; three grandchildren, David, Kathleen and William, one sister, Lillian Slomski, Neilsville, WI; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Tachick, Mountain and Elaine Gnet, West Palm Beach, FL. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Robert and daughter-in-law, Pauline Kovneski. Friends may call at the Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman, Tuesday, January 15th from 9 A.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Father Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Interment at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery, Klondike.
