Mrs. Hernet, 62, is Buried Monday
Well Known Sobieski Woman Passes Away Friday.
July 3, 1936 

Pulaski, Wis. - Mrs. Katherine Hernet, 62, of Sobieski died unexpectedly at her home here Friday evening, following a paralytic stroke. She had just returned home after spending two weeks in a Green Bay hospital. Her condition was very much improved, and the stroke occurred after her arrival at her home.

Mrs. Hernet was born in Chicago Nov. 28, 1873. She was married to John Hernet in 1900. Mr. and Mrs. Hernet lived in Krakow for five years following their marriage and then moved to Sobieski, where they have lived since.

Mrs. Hernet was active in church work and was president of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a member of the Holy Rosary society.

She is survived by her husband, John Hernet; by four daughters, Mrs. Ros Rewolinske, Mrs. Mary Matuscak, of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Ursella Gorecki, of Pulasksi; by five sons, Frank and John of Milwaukee, Leonard of Chicago, and Edward and Henry of Sobieski; and by two step-sons, Anthony of Milwaukee and Stanley of Newark, N. J.

She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild;, by four sisters, Mrs. M. Jabermowski, Mrs. M. Kwasniecki, Mrs. J. Kaczmarek, and Mrs. M. Greenwald, all of Chicago; and by one brother, Bernard Olinski of Chicago.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., Monday at St. John Cantius church in Sobieski by the Rev. Vlad Pruc, assisted by the Rev. S. A. Marmurowicz and Rev. Eugene Konopke. She was buried in the church cemetery.

Pall bearers were Leo Brzezinski, Stanley Golik, John Wajchowski, Anton Wroblewski, E. Borlick, and George Bentley.
