Kelly Lee Thomson, 28, De Pere, formerly of Oconto, passed away December 1, 2000 after a long illness.

Kelly was born October 13, 1972 in the Town of Oconto Falls to Bonnie (Brabant) TerMaat and James Thomson. She attended Oconto High School, Silver Lake College and the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Kelly was active in church choir, as well as teaching Sunday school. She was active in basketball, volleyball, math team, swing choir, student council and was on the Homecoming court. Kelly was employed at Terrapin Station of De Pere for one year. Her sincere goodness and warm personality brought her many friends. Before her illness, Kelly was employed at Realty Executives of Green Bay, as administrative assistant. The love and support of Kelly's friends from Realty Executives was a constant source of strength and courage.

Kelly is survived by her loving son, Jacob, 6 years old, De Pere; her parents, Bonnie and Donald TerMaat of Oconto, James and Corrine Thomson of Lena; two sisters, Teri (Nicholas) Hodkiewicz and Tars Thomson of Lena; one brother, Beau Thomson of Lena; one stepbrother, Dan and Cheryl TerMaat, Milwaukee; one stepsister, Annette and Jim Carriveau, Oconto; her paternal grandparents, Walter and Carol Thomson, Lena, Marie TerMaat, Oconto, Helen Wickman, Kingsford, MI; one great-grandmother, Alice Lindstrom of Niagara, WI; godparents Calvin and Susie Thomson of Lena; special aunt and uncle, Robert and Rita (Brabant) Norton of Little Suamico, many more aunts, uncles and cousins. Also, Jacob's father, Ed Jaskotski, De Pere along with a special friend, Peter Boersma, Madison.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Norman and Pearl (Shallow) Brabant, Henry TerMaat all of Oconto; special cousin, Mike Presl of Cecil.

Friends called at Cotter Funeral Home 860 N. Webster Ave. De Pere. Parish prayer service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle off Sportsmans Dr., Town of Ledgeview. Rev. John H. Harper officiated. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.

Kelly's family wishes to acknowledge special thanks to Realty Executives, Graphic Management Corporation of Oconto. Kelly leaves to Fr. Jack Harper a loving hug. She is leaving behind devoted friends Roger and Mary Ann Boersma, Tom Monahan, Gary Kaster, Susan Walczk and many others too numerous to mention. Your thoughtfulness, help and prayers will never be forgotten.

Also, a special thanks to Dr. Watson, Dr. Coleman, Dr. Blank, Bellin Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital, University of Madison Hospital and to all the nurses who gave Kelly comforting care and support.
