Kenneth L. Krumpos, 89, Green Bay, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 25, 2001 in a local nursing home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Aug. 19, 1912, in Lena, the oldest son of Lawrence and Frances (Kosnar) Krumpos. He married Julia Kust on Nov. 25, 1935. She preceded him in death in 1988. He had been employed at Procter & Gamble in Personnel for 42 years prior to his retirement in 1974. He served two years in the Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946 as a Rifleman in Italy. He was awarded, while in the Middle East, the Victory Medal, American Theatre Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon, W/3 Bronze Battle Stars, three Overseas Bars and the Good Conduct Medal. Ken loved hunting and fishing, outdoor life and being with his family.

Survivors include three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Harold and Margaret Krumpos, Lloyd Krumpos all of Green Bay; Larry and Shirley Krumpos, De Pere; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Leo Matuszak, Green Bay; Rosemary and Don Koenig, Auburndale, Fla.; Mae Willems, De Pere; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Krumpos, Rita Buckarma, Sister Ladislas (Mary Ann Kust), Elaine Neville; two brothers-in-law, Bernard and Donald Kust all of Green Bay; 57 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Julia; three brothers, Lester, Donald and Jerome Krumpos; two brothers-in-law, Ladislaw and Robert Kust; two sisters-in-law, Martha Frieke and Lucille Kust.

He will be sadly missed by many.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Ron Belitz officiating.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Elite Manor, Western Village Nursing Home and Unity Hospice for the wonderful care given to Kenny.
