Kenneth Houska October 6, 1937 - March 26, 2016

Kenneth L. Houska age 78 of Oconto Falls passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Kenneth was born October 6, 1937 to the late Frank and Rose (Nemeck) Houska. He married Joan Melendes at Hickory United Methodist Church on June 24, 1972. He worked for Holtger Brothers for over 20 years until he retired to the joy of his life farming. Ken was a wonderful grandpa, an avid sportsman, enjoyed hunting & fishing, was quick to tell a joke, and always had a story to tell that was enjoyed by many. He is a member of Hickory United Methodist Church.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Joan; 7 children, Lynn Umentum, Robert (Brenda) Bishop, Susan (Mike) Trevor, Patti Jo (Tad) Cook, Cheryl (Scott) Binkowski, Christine (Greg) St. Louis and Jolene (Jeff) Smaney; 4 sisters; Joan Behringer, Joyce (Gary) Frank, Patsy (Ernie) Krause and Peggy (Steve) Zenk; 1 brother, Butch (Laura) Houska; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Hickory United Methodist Church from 9 am until the funeral service at 12 Noon with Pastor Daniel Nault officiating. Kenneth will be interred in Pine Hill Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is in charge of the arrangements.
A special thank you to the staff at Bellin Memorial Hospital.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
