Kallies, Kelly Marie


Kelly Marie Kallies, 35, Oconto Falls, died Friday afternoon, July 26, 2013 and was received into God's loving arms, at the Meng Hospice Residence Center in DePere following a valiant 14 month fight with cancer. She was born April 22, 1978 in Green Bay to Benedict and Anne (Sinclair) Banaszynski Jr. Kelly grew up in the Pulcifer area and attended Gillett public schools, graduating from Gillett High School with the class of 1996.

On July 17, 1999 she married her high school sweetheart at St. John's Lutheran Church in Gillett. Shortly after their marriage the couple moved to Oconto Falls where Kelly worked as a day care teacher at Building Blocks Too for eight years. She was currently working with her husband in the family business, MK Photography of Oconto Falls. Kelly will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who demonstrated great faith, strength and courage during her illness. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls and a Girl Scout leader. Kelly loved camping and spending time with her family.

Survivors are her husband, Mike Kallies, Oconto Falls; their two children, Elizabeth and Mitchell at home; her parents, Jay and Anne Banaszyski, Phelps; one sister, Misty (Brad) Reed, one brother, Kevin (Megan) Banaszynski, all of Oconto Falls; paternal grandfather, Benedict Banaszynski Sr., Cecil; her Godchild and niece, Tesia Banaszynski; other special nieces and nephews.

Kelly was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Sandy Banaszynski, maternal grandparents, Teddy and Milly Sinclair and her paternal great grandmother, Toddy Krueger.

Visitation will be held after 10am Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Memorial services will be held 1pm Saturday at the church with Pastor Larry Bong officiating. Because of Kelly's desire to help people, her body was received at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
