Krause, Kenneth A.

Kenneth A. Krause, 89, Oconto Falls died Monday afternoon, August 8, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls with his family present. He was born October 22, 1926 in Oconto Falls to Arthur and Agnes (Birr) Krause. "Kenne" as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, grew up in Oconto Falls where he attended public schools.

On July 3, 1948 he married Alva "Jean" Lusha in Milwaukee. Kenne lived in Oconto Falls for all of his life where he was first employed by Falls Paper & Power which later became Scott Paper for 41 years, retiring in 1987. Over the years, Kenne enjoyed archery, bowling, hunting, fishing on the bay and playing softball. As a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls, he served on church council, ushered and money counted for many years.

Survivors are his four children, Marsha (Edward) Loesch, Henderson, NV; Ray (Suzi) Krause, Oconto Falls; Lori (Reggie) Comins, Lena; Ron Krause, Oconto Falls; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Sally Vanden Bush, St. Germain; Deloris Van Laar Hoven, Green Bay; Betty Hudson, Morgan; one sister-in-law, Beverly Bolling, Sussex; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean on December 15, 2013, one sister Arlene Jaeger and six brothers-in-law, Joe Vanden Bush, Jake Van Laar Hoven, Emil Jaeger, Gary Hudson, Bill Bolling and Art Jaeger.

Visitation will be held after 11am Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 1:30pm Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary R. Olson officiating. Cremation will follow with burial of the urn in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

The Krause family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls, Unity Hospice, his relatives, especially nephew Curt Jaeger and all his longtime neighbors for the visits, care and concern shown Ken during their time together.
