Joseph Wondrash, 85, passed away on Thursday afternoon at the Cy Wondrash home following a paralytic stroke suffered two days previously. Mr. Wondrash was the father of Mrs. J.H. Pavlik, Sr., who formerly resided in Oconto Falls.

The deceased was born in Prague, Bohemia in March, 1848 and came to this country when 4 years of age. He was married to Margaret Chadek in May 29, 1876 in Manitowoc County. They came to Lena in 1893, where he conducted a general store for a number of years. His wife died four years ago.

Survivors are 6 daughters, Mrs. Frank Trepanier, Milwaukee; Mrs. Frank Otter, Chicago; Mrs. Wencil Libal of Coleman; Mrs. J.H. Pavlik, Sr., Mrs. Ira Netzer and Mrs. Jos. Teteak of Lena; 2 sons, A. J. Wondrash of San Francisco, California, and C.J. Wondrash of Lena, One sister Anna, of Peshtigo, 28 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren are the other survivors.

Funeral rites were conducted by the Rev. E. H. Vaissiere at St. Charles Catholic Church on Monday morning at nine. Interment took place in the Lena Catholic cemetery with Messrs. Charles Wondrash, Jos. Pavlik, Jr., Averill and Sherburn Libal, Adam and Peter Netzer, all grandsons carrying the casket to its last resting place.

Out of town people attending the rites were; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Otter, Leone Wondrash of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trepanier, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Wencil Libal, sons, Sherburn, and Averill of Coleman; Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Pavlik Jr., and children Ronald, Leatrice of Oconto Falls, Mr. Wencil Fictum, Mrs. And Mrs. Ed Pelishek, Denmark, Mr. J. Muhlichek, Two Rivers, Mr. and Mrs. Wm Jaschke and Mr. and Mrs. F. Blahnik of Green Bay.
