A solemn High Mass was sung at St. Anthony's catholic church at ten Monday morning for Mrs. Jennie Windt, 74, who passed away late Friday afternoon at the local hospital where she had been confined for the past five days with pneumonia.

The Rev. Morris Windt, officiated and burial was made in the catholic cemetery. Father Windt was assisted by his cousin, the Rev. Fr. Beemster of De Pere, Rev. Dennis Burke, Rev. T.N. Butler and Rev. Steenmetz, White Fathers of De Pere and the Rev. Fathers J. J. Looze and Father Belanger of Oconto. The O'Neill funeral home was in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers where John Bunker, Frank Ehlinger, Joh, Lambert, Anton Metzler, Chas. Coopman, and Theodore Bruening.

Mrs. Windt was born in Hougwood Holland in 1868 and came to Oconto Falls in 1879. She was married here about fifty years ago. Her husband and daughter, who entered a convent and became Sister Marcus, preceded her in death. Her only survivor is a son, The Rev. Morris T. Windt, who is pastor of St. Joseph's church at Silver Lake, and Chaplain of the Holy Family Convent there.
