JOHN ULRIK JOHNSEN 
RETIRED FARMER DIES

John Ulrik Johnsen, 81, died at 8:30 this morning at his home, 214 Twelth ave, after an illness of threee weeks. He had been a resident of the city since 1916 when he retired from a life of farming, and was a member of Bethel Lutheran church.

Mr Johnsen was born in Denmark, Europe, Aug 1852 and came to the United States in 1871. He settled in Oconto and a short time later moved to maple Valley where he remained until 1908 when he moved to another farm at Hayes. he came from Hayes to this city. Surviving him are his wife, two sons, William, Pound, and Bernhardt, Chicago, two daughters, Mrs. Peter Iverson, Green Bay, and Mrs. Charles Hansen, Tucson, Ariz., and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Boien, Omaha, Neb. and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2o'clock at the Findelsen-Greiser Chapel and at 2:20 at Bethel Lutheran church. The Rev. Peter J. Vammen will officiate.
