Joseph Taycher, 80,
Is Dead at (Oconto) 'Falls  

Joseph Taycher, 80, died at his home Monday afternoon after an illness of three months. He was born Nov. 22, 1870, in Czechoslovaki and came to America with his family as a young boy.

The Taychers settled in the town of Spruce, their home until moving to Oconto Falls. Mr.Taycher married the former Christine Shipla at Menominee, Mich. on September 16, 1919.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Benard and Norbert of Oconto Falls, and Everett Housner of Milwaukee; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Judd, Oconto Falls and Mrs. Lyle Rice, also of Oconto Falls.

The body is at the O'Neil Funeral home, where services will be held at 9:30 Thursday morning. The Rev. Joseph Labno will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot at Spruce cemetery.

Mr. Taycher was employed at the paper mills until his retirement.

Funeral rites will be held for Joseph Taycher, 80, at the O'Neil Funeral Home on Thursday morning at nine-thirty o'clock, the Rev. Joseph Labne officiating. Burial will take place in the Spruce Cemetery in the family plot.

Mr. Taycher passed away at his home in the third ward on Monday afternoon, after having been in poor health for the past several months.

He was born in Czechoslovakia on Nov. 23rd, 1870, and came to America with his family when a young lad. The family settled in the town of Spruce, and the community has been his home ever since.

His marriage to the former Christine Shipla took place in Menominee Michigan, on Sept. 16, 1919, and the couple has resided in Oconto Falls ever since. Survivors are the widow and five children, who are Bernard, Monica, Mrs. Lyle (Mike) Rice, and Norbert of Oconto Falls, Everett Housner of Milwaukee, and Marie, Mrs. Harvey Judd of Oconto falls. He is further survived by seven grandchildren.

Mr. Taycher was a carpenter by trade and he also worked in the paper mill for a number of years.

The many friends of the family are expressing sincere sympathy to them in this hour of sorrow.
