He was born February 15, 1918 at Oconto to the late John and Mae Sargent, and lived in the area most of his life.
John is survived by one sister, Mary Preston of California. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and James.
Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago Street, Oconto. Funeral service was conducted Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Terry LaCombe officiated. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
