Funeral services were held in the St. John’s Lutheran church, Morgan, Saturday for Mrs. Johanna Radtke, 84, R3-Oconto Falls, who died at the Oconto Falls hospital last Wednesday. She had been ailing for the past three years.
The deceased was born in Germany October 28, 1876, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Radtke. She lived in Germany as a child, and settled later in Shawano county, where her parents operated a farm. Her husband, Herman Radtke, preceded her in death in 1903. She lived and farmed in the Morgan area for the past 30 years, and at the time of her death was living with her son Ralph in the town of Morgan. She was a member of St. John’s church.
Surviving with her son is one daughter, Mrs. Ella Henderson, Milwaukee. Another daughter, Edna died in 1925 at the age of 26, and a son died in infancy.
She was taken to the Kuehl funeral home in Gillett, and later to
church
where services were held Saturday, the Rev. Carl Diemer officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Morgan: Mrs. Johanna Radtke, 84, died Wednesday June 28 at Oconto Falls route 2, after an illness of three years. She made her home with her son, Ralph in the Town of Morgan.
Mrs. Radtke was born October 28, 1876 in Germany and came to this country as a child. Her parents settled in the Town of Hartland and also in Angelica where they operated a farm. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Morgan.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon, July 1, at St. John Lutheran church, Morgan. The Rev. H. K. Diemer officated and interment was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Radtke is survived by two children, a daughter, Mrs. Ella Henderson, Milwaukee and a son, Ralph route 2, Oconto Falls. A daughter, Edna died at the age of 26 years in 1925 and a son in infancy.
The Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett was in charge of arrangements.
