She was born September 22, 1928 in Manitowoc to Dell and Sophie (Tadych) Riebe. She attended Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1946. On May 3, 1947 she married John A, Boswell in Manitowoc. Following their marriage the couple lived in Manitowoc for a short time before moving to the Marinette-Menominee area. In 1965 the family moved to Oconto Falls where June was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. In 1982 the couple moved to Tucson, Arizona for health reasons and returned to Madison in 1994.
Survivors are her husband, John A. Boswell, Fitchburg; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Sandra Boswell, Oconto Falls; John II and Lynne Boswell, Milwaukee; Dell Boswell, Arizona; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dan Johnson, Madison; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Joan Kennedy, California; Sister Mary Francet Riebe, Manitowoc; Lynn Karnitz, Two Rivers; six brothers, Donald Riebe, Dell Riebe, Paul "Butch" Riebe, Kenneth Riebe, Curtis Riebe and Larry Riebe all of Manitowoc; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Boswell on August 5, 1996 and Robert "Bob" Boswell on June 26, 2000 and four infant siblings.
Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oconto Falls with the Rev. Fr. Harold Beerntsen and Patricia DeGroot, parish director officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
