John P. Otradovec, 97, Lena, died Tuesday, March 6 at Riverside Health & Rehabilitation,Oconto.

Born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton (Margaret Miller) Otradovec on Oct. 19, 1903 in Hayes, he married the former Alice Giese on June 25, 1930 in Gillett. The couple farmed in the Town of Lena since 1942. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Norine Otradovec of Green Bay, Byron (Mary Ann) Otradovec of Wildwood, Fla., Mrs. Raymond (Karen) Wiedemeier of Porterfield; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christine Ausloos of Lena, Mrs. Jerome (Margaret) Ehlinger of Green Bay; four sisters-in-law, Loretta Otradovec of Green Bay, Eleanor Otradovec of Clintonville, Alvina Otradovec of Underhill, and Minerva Otradovec of Florida.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Matt, Frank, Peter, Joseph and Anthony; and two sisters, Anna Lanser and Rose Malueg.

Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Lena on Friday, March 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 10 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. A vigil service will be conducted Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lena with Rev. Frank Schrage and Deacon Bryon Otradovec officiating. Interment will be at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Lena.
