Jamie (Mrs. Louis Jr.) Patenaude-Kasper, 26, 314 E. Main St., Gillett, died suddenly Wednesday evening, February 7, 2001 at Community Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls.

She was born January 31, 1975 in Oconto Falls to Jim and Judy (Fort) Patenaude. Jamie grew up in Oconto Falls where she attended St. Anthony's Catholic School and later public schools, graduating from high school with the class of 1993. While in high school, she enjoyed singing and performing with the school choir. Following graduation from high school she worked with her parents in the family bar and supper club business, Patenaude's Colonial Inn, just west of Oconto Falls. It was also during this time Jamie enjoyed caring for children at a Green Bay day care center.

On June 5, 1999, she married Louis Kasper Jr. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Since their marriage, the couple have been living in Gillett and Jamie was currently employed at Vishay Cera-Mite Corp. in Oconto Falls. Jamie loved children and had so looked forward to being a new mother. She was an avid Beanie Baby collector, liked making crafts and was a good friend to many people.

Survivors are her husband, Louie Kasper, Gillett; her newborn son, Connor Louis Kasper, born February 3, 2001; her parents, Jim and Judy Patenaude, Oconto Falls; her siblings, Kevin (Kristen) Patenaude, Oconto Falls; Julie (Mick) Carroll, Appleton; John 'Butch" (Ami) Patenaude, Oconto Falls; her maternal grand- mother, Ellen Brissette, Marinette; nieces and nephews; her godchildren; her in-laws, Louis Sr. and JoAnn Kasper, Oconto; brothers-in-law, John Lewis, Green Bay; Neil (Sara) Kasper, Fond du Lac; many aunts, uncles and cousins; her two cats, Sissy and Sassy.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ed and Norine Patenaude and maternal grandfather, Robert Fort.

Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls on Sunday, February 11. A prayer service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Paul Schumacher and Patricia DeGroot, parish director officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
