He was born to Phillip and Lorraine Wenzel Hurtado April 22, 1951. John was preceded in death by his father. John was employed at Cruisers Yachts in Oconto. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with friends and family.
Surviving are 1 son, Jesse, 4 daughters, Rebecca, Felecia and Louren Hurtado all of Oconto and a daughter Juliann; his mother, Lorraine Wenzel of Texas, and 6 brothers and 12 sisters. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by two brothers, paternal grandparents, Felix and Josephine Hurtado, and maternal grandparents, Edith and Charles Wenzel.
Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto, Thursday, March 30, 2000 from 4-9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Walt Kaszynski officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto.
