John "Jack" M. Kerkhoff

John "Jack" M. Kerkhoff, 39, Seymour, died as a result of an ATV accident June 9, 2001 near Mountain.

He was born in Appleton September 27, 1961 to Ken and Bernice (Corey) Kerkhoff. Jack graduated from Freedom High School with the Class of 1979. Jack participated in wrestling at Freedom High School. He was currently employed by Wick Builders as a carpenter. Jack and his fiancée, Pam, owned their own game farm in Seymour. He loved to hunt, fish, trap, and participate in other outdoor activities; including riding his ATV. Jack's pride and joy was his maccaw bird named "Sammy".

Survivors include his parents, Ken and Bernice Kerkhoff of Crooked Lake; his fiancée, Pam Guy of Seymour; three sisters and their families, Denise (John) Bast of Seymour, Tine (Duane) Champeau of Chilton, Penny (Bud) Kerkhoff of Bonduel; two brothers and their families, Kent (Tammy) Kerkhoff of Bonduel, Jim (Kim) Kerkhoff of Freedom; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Kerkhoff of Freedom; nieces and nephews: Doug, Dave, Crystal, Heather, Amanda, Shelby Jenna, and Miranda.

Jack was preceded in death by his infant brother Kent in 1963. The family received friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 13, at St. Nicholaus Catholic Church in Freedom from 5 p.m. until Memorial Mass at 7 p.m. with Father Angelo Feldkamp, O. Praem. officiating. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring, in charge of arrangements.
