SOBIESKI CITIZEN,
DIES IN GREEN BAY

John Mecikalski, a well and favorably known resident of Sobieski, passed away Sunday morning in a Green Bay hospital following an operation for gangrenous appendicitis.

Mr. Mecikulski was born in Poland, Oct. 24, 1807 but came to America when a young boy with his parents. For the past several years he has been local agent for Mariner and Kurutz, a land company of Milwaukee. He also held the offices of town assessor ant school director.

Mr. Mecikalski was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters of Antigo and a member of St. Isador's society of St. John's church from which he was buried Thursday at ten o'clock. Rev. P. Borowski officiated and burial was in the Sobieski cemetery.

He leaves to mourn, besides his wife and five children, his aged mother, six brothers and seven step-children and a host of other relatives and friends. The bereaved family has the sympathy of the community.
