Jean L. Mayo DeHUT

In loving memory of Jean L. De Hut who demonstrated great courage and unwavering faith in the Lord during a long illness. She was born in Land O'Lakes, WI on June 4, 1934, and lived most of her life in the Oconto area. Jean was married to Donald E. De Hut on January 2, 1954. She and her husband Donald operated a family farm until their retire- ment in 1983. She was a devoted Christian woman, who ministered to others, and shared her creative ability. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Jean is survived by her husband, Donald De Hut; mother, Hilma Mayo; three daughters, Cindy (Mike) Bittner, Oconto Falls; Lisa (Milo) Noack, Green Leaf; Jenny (Ken) Knipfer, Elk Mound; three sons, Jody De Hut, Oconto; Jayme (Barb) De Hut, Oconto; Tim (Cynde) De Hut, Oconto; one sister, Barbara (Richard) Detaege, Oconto; fourteen grandchildren, Donny, Lyla (Brian) Warren, Ellen, April, Max, Rose, Kale, Tyler, Emily, John, Phillip, Katelyn, Kyle, Korby; one great-grandson Mason. She is preceded in death by her father Edward Mayo, and one brother David Mayo.

The family received relatives and friends at the Oconto Gospel Chapel from 10 to 12 noon Saturday, January 22, 2000. Funeral services were conducted 12 noon Saturday at the church with the Rev. Bob Schut officiating. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, assisted the family.
