Jane was born August 16, 1914 at Oconto to Dennis and Ida (Williams) LaCombe. She married Leonard Matecki, who preceded her in death September 4, 1967. She then married Arthur Eckes, who preceded her in death February 9, 1986. Jane worked at Bond Pickle Co. for many years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Perish. She loved bowling, golfing, and playing cards.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers Norbert, Willard, John, and Paul LaCombe; two sisters, Harriet Noel and Mary Alyce Rieck.
Friends called at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Joseph Site, Tuesday, August 8, 2000 from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto assisted the family.
