The deceased was born in Canada, and came to Wisconsin when a young man. For a number of years he cultivated a farm in the town of Oconto Falls, but sold this property several years ago and bought a home in the city.
Death was the result of an attack of apoplexy which affected him about a week before his death.
He is survived by a wife and six children. The funeral occurred on Wednesday with services at St. Anthony's catholic church, conducted by Rev Zerbach, and burial in the catholic cemetery.
