Pioneer Settler of Oconto County
-The final rites for Mr. John Johnson, Sr., pioneer settler of Oconto County, who passed away last week at the city hospital were conducted at the home of the decedents son, Fred, last Friday afternoon, the Rev. V.T. Nearhoof of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Vocal number were rendered by Mmes. Edw. Ama, G.C. Peterson, F.J. Kilmer and Victor Nearhoof. Mrs. Geo. Cleveland was the accompanist.
Messrs. J.J. Flatley, Kent Rifenbergh, Bernard Bunn, James McCurdie, Roland Rice and Thomas Shedore, bore the remains to their final resting place in the family lot in the cemetery at Stiles.
Out of town relatives and friends in attendance at the services were; Mr. and Mrs. Pecor and Mrs. Mike Kain, of Oconto, Mrs. Maude Wall and son, Orin of Green Bay, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Robbins of Lena, and Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson of Stevens Point.
