JOHN O'CONNELL, 63, DIES OF STROKE TODAY
OCONTO, Wis. - John J. O’Connell, 53, well known Chicago and Northwestern railway conductor, died at his
home, 115 Hart St., at 8 0’clock this morning following a stroke of paralysis which re received Sunday.
John was born in Oshkosh Dec 25, 1853, and had been with the Northwestern road for 43 years. He is
survived by his widow, Christine O’Connell, four children; John Jr. of West Allis, Mrs. Otto Tiedke (?) and
George of Oconto, and Gregory at home, and one brother, Daniel of Minneapolis. Funeral arrangements have
not been completed yet.
