-Heart trouble aggravated by the prevailing heat wave, caused the death
of John J. Noonan, 65, here last evening at 8 pm. The body was removed
to the Gagnon funeral home from where the funeral will be held Monday morning
with services at St. Joseph Catholic church. The Rev. L.C. Becker officiating.
Interment will be in the Oconto Catholic cemetery.
Mr. Noonan was born at Oconto January 10, 1874 and has resided here
all his life. For 27 years he was employed by the Oconto company here and
later for 12 years by the Holt Lumber company as master mechanic. At one
time he served as a member of the Oconto fire and police commission, and
was a member of the first Oconto School Board.
