Mr. Jesse James Loop, 85, Crivitz, died Monday April 2, 2001 at New Care Residence, Crivitz. He was born on April 6, 1915 in Crivitz to the late John and Bessie Paul Loop. He married the former Vernie Jasek on February 21, 1959; she preceded him in death on February 7, 2000. Jesse graduated from Crivitz High School in 1932. He was a decorated WWII Veteran of the 101st Army Airborne Division. He was a Rural Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years before retiring in 1973. Jesse belonged to the Crivitz Lions Club and the American Legion Netzel-Zenz Post No. 413. Jesse was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his four children Audrey Ken Zempel, Beaver; Anita Don Morgan, Rochester, MN; Jay Loop, Dodgeville; and Patty Kent Shy, Elm Grove; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Isobel Bergeron, Stevens Point; one sister-in-law, Helen Loop, Las Vegas, NV; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John Loop, and one daughter-in-law, Mary Loop.

The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Friday, April 5, at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Crivitz. The American Legion Netzel-Zenz Post No. 413 conducted a service at 3:45 p.m. There was a memorial service at 4 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. Internment in the Forest Home Cemetery, Crivitz.
