Joseph J. Kust, 92, of Coleman died Wednesday March 20, 2002 at NEW Care Convalescent Center, Crivitz.

The son of the late Peter and Barbara (Gabriel) Kust was born March 5, 1910 in the Town of Montpelier in Kewaunee County. He was married to Leona Dantinne on November 21, 1932 at St. John Catholic Church, Coleman. Joe owned and operated Kust Trucking in Coleman from 1932 until his retirement in 1973. His wife preceded him in death on December 19, 1973. He was an Honorary Life member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 6689, Coleman and a member of Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Coleman.

Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law; Delores (Dolly) Boerschinger of Coleman, Patricia and Arnold "Pee Wee" Leuman of Oconto, Susan and Nick Thomas of Crivitz and Sherry and Jim Zahn of Hong Kong; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Sacks and Betty (Dale) Aumargher both of Mesa, AZ; his special friend, Irene Kotecki of Marinette; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Dantinne of Lena and Mary Kay Dantinne of Wallace, MI and one brother-in-law, Julian Dantinne of Easton, PA. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers Mike and Ed, one sister, Lilly Kolinski and one son-in-law, Harvey Boerschinger.

Relatives and friends called at Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Coleman from 9-11 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m., at the church, with Rev. John Hephner officiating. A Knights of Columbus service was held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Coleman. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman, assisted the family.
