Joseph J. Blatz, Jr., 51, Mountain, formerly South Milwaukee, died unexpectedly at his residence in Mountain December 6, 2000.
He was born in Milwaukee April 22, 1949 to the late Joseph and Harriette (Stebbens) Blatz, Sr. Joe served his country with the Army in Vietnam. Currently he was employed with T & T Builders. He had owned Joe's Bait Shop at the Landing. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and trapping. Joe was a member of the Mountain V.F.W. Post and had served as a Past Post Commander.
Survivors include his daughters, JoLynn Blatz and Diana Blatz; a brother, Jeff(Jackie) Blatz of Hubertus, three sisters, Suzie (Mike) Walczak of Milwaukee, Nancy (Dennis) Strouderman of Missouri, Carol (Scott) Campbell of Hubertus. Further survived by aunts. uncles, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
A prayer service was held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Friday December 8, 2000 at 2 p.m. with Sister Karen Vollmer officiating. Visitation continued until 6 p.m. Burial in Mountain Cemetery.
