The deceased was a native of Campbelltown, New Brunswick, in which Province he was born in 1809. He came west and settled in this county a number of years ago, since which time he successfully followed farming. By his upright and manly character he had secured the respect and esteem of all who knew him. He leaves seven children - five daughters and two sons, as follows: Mrs. Archie McAllister, town of Oconto; Mrs. J.J. Brewer, Marinette; Mrs. H. Fergusson, Northern Pacific Junction, Minn.; Mrs. Thos. McCurdy, Town of Oconto; Mrs. A. M. Phelan, Oconto, George Gerrard, Marinette; and Robert D. Gerrard, Campbelltown, N.B.. The funeral occurred last Saturday, the remains being laid at rest in the public cemetery in this city.
