He was born February 6, 1910 in Oconto the son of Guy A. and Agnes Martineau. John was a graduate of Marquette School of Medicine in 1939 and practiced at Elkhart Lake from 1942 to 1979 except three years served in WWII in the medical corps in the South Pacific and the Philippine Islands. He retired in 1979 and moved to Hilton Head Island, So. Carolina.
Survivors include four grandsons who live in Erie, PA; one brother, Guy (Rozella) of Friendship, WI, and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Specht of Stevens Point, WI. John was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; son, Tom and wife Mary Jo; sister, Florence and brother-in-law, Ray Specht. Funeral services were conducted January 22 at Elkhardt Lake.
