John Ernest BAUGHMAN, 90, Maple Grove School Rd., Oconto died July 11, 1999 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born February 5, 1909 at Winnemac, Indiana to the late Howard and Jessie (RINGER) BAUGHMAN. He married Pauline C. PANETTI June 1, 1933 at Jump River, WI. John operated a dairy farm at Sheldon, WI and also operated a saw mill at Greenwood, WI and did custom lumber sawing until retiring in 1964. He then moved to Oconto.
John is the only surviving charter member of Sheldon Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Pauline; a daughter Alice (John) HAAG, Oconto; tow sons, John (Loretta) BAUGHMAN, Sequim, WA; Richard (Marlyn) BAUGHMAN, Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Wilma (Rey) BERGGREN, Knoxville, TN; one grandson, Val BAUGHMAN, Colorado Springs. He was preceded in death by a brother, Evart.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oconto Gospel Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with Everends Bob Schut and Warren Worden officiating. Burial will be a Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto. memorials may be given to the Arthritis Foundation. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
