John Doyle Dead
Pioneer of Town of Oconto Passed Away Sunday

John Doyle, one of the leading farmers of the town of Oconto, died at his home in Couillardville at 3:00 Sunday morning from heart trouble after an illness of four days with pneumonia. He had suffered from heart trouble more or less for several years and when he was attacked by pneumonia that organ was not equal to the demands made upon it and ceased to perform its functions.

Deceased was born County Wexford, Ireland, in 1835 and when 18 years of age came to America and resided for 3 years in Chicago when he came to Oconto county, remaining a continuous resident here since that time, 1856.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Daniel, Francis and Henry and three daughters, Kate, Mary and Agnes, all residing at home, also by two brothers and a sister in Ireland and two brothers and one sister in this country.

Deceased was a prosperous, honest, thrifty, unassuming citizen whose loss will be felt in his community. The funeral was held in this city at 9:00 Tuesday morning from St. Joseph’s church, Rev. Seibach officiating, with internment in the Catholic cemetery.
