Janice Margaret Denowski Martin, 57, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2001, of breast cancer, at her sister, Irene's home in Canyon Lake, Calif.

She was born to Viola and Leo Denowski on May 27, 1944, in Lena, Wis.

Janice lived in Lake Elsinore, Calif., the last 25 years. She was a hairdresser in No. Hollywood for several years. She owned the Happy Tree Bar in Pound, Wis., and previously, the Pueblito Cantina in Wildomar, Calif. For the past four years, she operated a gift shop "Collectible Corners" in Wildomar, Calif.

Janice is survived by her husband, Rudy; one daughter, Marnie of Sun City, Calif.; two grandchildren: Kyleen and Maeson; her mother, Viola Tingstrom and stepfather, Arthur of Oconto Falls, Wis.; six sisters: Marcella Vaughn of Gilbert, Ariz., Kathy Kipness of New York, N.Y., Elizabeth Kocken of Oconto Falls, Wis., Irene Armendariz of Canyon Lake, Calif., Helen Bajorek of Oconto, Wis., and Teresa Denowski of Las Vegas, Nev.; and three brothers: Ervin Denowski of Newport Beach, Calif., James Denowski of Lena, Wis., and Randy Denowski of Lena, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Denowski.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena. The Rev. Fr. Pete Taylor officiating. Luncheon will follow.
