FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR JACK JOHNSON OF FALLS  
 

OCONTO FALLS - Funeral services for John D. Johnson, 77, were held in the chapel of the Soulek Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon, with the Rev. James Scott Officiating, Masonic rites were also conducted. Burial took place in Woodlawn Cemetery. He passed away early Monday after a long illness.

Mr. Johnson was born April 29, 1886 in Stiles and was a lifetime resident of the community. He was married to the former Mary Kinziger of Lena at Stiles in 1911 and the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago. He was employed for a time at the paper mill, but later worked as school custodian for the Board of Education, serving in this capacity for thirty three years.

He was a member of the Methodist Church, was active in the sportsman's club, the Oconto Falls Lodge NO. 293, F. and A. M., and was a talented musician. He played in the Oconto Falls City Band for many years and was its director for some time.

Survivors are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Melba Bunk, Green bay, Kay, Mrs. Eldo Buetleher and Lorraine, Mrs. Robert Lemorande, Oconto Falls, and Mary Patricia, Mrs. Merrill Aderman of Marinette; two sons, John C. at home and James L. of Oconto Falls. He is further survived by a brother Fred of Oconto Falls, sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
