Oconto Falls

-Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic church on Wednesday morning by the Rev. Francis Francart for John Coopman, 70, who died Sunday evening at eight fifteen after a long illness. Burial took place in the Catholic cemetery.

The O'Neill funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Coopman was born at Bay Settlement, Brown County, on April 30, 1877 and came to this community about 50 years ago. He farmed, worked at the Paper Mill and for the Highway commission and for the city before becoming ill two years ago.

Survivors are his wife, three sons, Willard of Oconto, Melvin of Oconto Falls and Orville of Gillett; a daughter, Mrs. Joe Rabik of Oconto Falls; three brothers, Charles and Frank of this city and Joseph of Menasha, three sisters; Mrs. David and Mrs. Ed Young of Oconto Falls and Mrs. James Just of Stiles, and ten grandchildren.
